Courtney Allen, FNP-C

Our Founder

As a mother, wife, and friend, Courtney Allen’s focus from the beginning of her career was to always make her patients feel seen, understood and valued. She cares about people and how they feel, from the inside out. Courtney strongly believes in natural beauty while enhancing the details that make you, YOU.

Her nursing career began in emergency medicine then transitioned to plastic surgery where she developed her passion for cosmetic dermatology. Courtney’s love for beauty enhancements stems from her priority to make people feel secure and confident in who they are. Canvas was created to unite her love for people and medical aesthetics. Her treatment and services are rooted in creating a comfortable, welcoming environment while making sure her patients feel encouraged and uniquely beautiful in their own skin. When you sit in Courtney’s chair, you are all that matters.

Courtney attended MTSU to obtain her medical license as a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. With 6+ years of experience in the aesthetic industry, she is now an advanced cosmetic injector, trainer, and skin expert. She specializes in neurotoxins, filler, and laser devices while being passionate about each of her client’s overall skin health. Her drive comes from making people feel beautiful from the inside - out. This has now become the “why” behind Canvas Skin.

Candler Pope, FNP-C

Our Providers

Candler was born and raised in Murfreesboro and always knew she wanted to dedicate her career to helping people feel their best. She worked as an ICU nurse for 5 years before continuing her education and receiving her Master’s of Science in Nursing at MTSU. She then decided to pursue the aesthetics field as a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner to help people feel beautiful in their own skin.

Candler is extremely passionate about facial analysis and skincare education—she knows just how to address your concerns and leave you glowing and confident!

Alex Gilmer, FNP-C

Our Providers

Alex is a board-certified NP with 4+ years of experience specializing in aesthetics and extensive training. Prior to earning her Master’s degree, Alex worked in the Neonatal ICU at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, where she loved caring for her tiniest patients and supporting their families. 

Alex is a mom of 2 energetic little boys, James and Henry. When she’s not in clinic—or chasing after her boys—she loves spending time outdoors and discovering new countries.

Larissa Knight

Our Practice Manager

Originally from the sunny shores of Atlantic Beach, Florida, Larissa attended Auburn University, earning a degree in Mass Communications. With a background in event management, operations, and marketing, she made the move to Franklin, TN, over five years ago and found her true passion in the aesthetics industry—where she’s been ever since. She loves all things beauty and wouldn’t trade this field for anything!

When she’s not at Canvas Skin, you’ll find her spending time with her three dogs—Rhett, Wollie, and June—thrifting, or diving into one of her many hobbies. Whether she’s crushing her boyfriend in pickleball or going all in on family game nights, her competitive side always shines through. She also has a not-so-secret love for running errands, exploring new spots around the city, and traveling whenever she gets the chance!

Savanna Posig

Our Patient Care Coordinator

Originally from Wisconsin, Savanna spent the last few years in Denver, Colorado with her boyfriend and French Bulldog, Winston, before settling down in Nashville.

In her free time, she loves to cook, do pilates, antique shop, travel, host dinner parties, and listen to country music (because when in Nashville, right?) She’s outgoing & friendly, with a genuine love for making people feel comfortable and cared for. She has always had a passion for skincare and aesthetics and is so excited to meet you all and make your experience feel special!
